A corn is a cone of hardened skin pressing into the tissue beneath it, and the pain it causes is out of all proportion to its size: enough to change how you walk and which shoes you can wear. Pads and paints buy relief; removing the core is what ends it.
At Lux Hospitals, corn removal costs between ₹5,000 and ₹8,000. It is a day-care procedure, and most patients are walking out within the hour.
One procedure, one narrow band. Whether the core is excised conventionally or vaporised with a laser, the difference in price is small: what it buys is a slightly faster heal and, in a corn that has already come back once, a lower chance of it doing so again.
₹5,000–₹8,000
estimated surgery cost
Laser costs a little more and seals as it works, so there is less to dress afterwards. A conventional excision of the core is perfectly adequate for a first, straightforward corn.
A corn between the toes is harder to reach and slower to heal than one on the sole. Several in one sitting add theatre time rather than repeating the whole charge.
A shared ward, a twin-sharing room or a private suite: the largest single swing in most estimates, and the one thing on this list you choose rather than are assigned.
A longer operation spends more theatre time and more of the anaesthetist’s, and a consultant with more years behind the procedure is charged at a higher rate.
Local, spinal or general. Which one your case needs is a clinical decision, not a preference, and it moves both the drug cost and how long you are monitored afterwards.
We are empanelled with most major insurers and file the pre-authorisation for you, so what is left to pay yourself is known before admission rather than at discharge.
Which of these apply to you is settled at the consultation. Until a surgeon has seen you and your reports, any figure (here or anywhere else) is a range rather than your bill.

| Corn Removal Surgery | ₹5,000 – ₹8,000 |
Every figure above is an indicative range, not a quote. After your consultation you are given a written, fixed-cost estimate, and that is the number you pay, with no additions once treatment begins.
The figure quoted to you is what leaving the hospital costs, not what entering it does. Everything below is inside it.
Important: Anything outside this list is told to you before it is done, not billed afterwards. If your case needs something the estimate did not allow for, you are asked first.
Your final bill may change if you need additional tests, a procedure for another condition, a longer hospital stay, extra medicines or follow-up care beyond what your estimate includes.
Ask the billing team which charges are included and which may be added based on your treatment needs.
It depends on your policy: some cover it as a medically necessary procedure, particularly in diabetic patients, and some class it as minor. Our desk checks yours and tells you before you commit.
Coverage depends on your policy, the treatment approved and the insurer or TPA. Contact the Lux Hospitals insurance desk to check eligibility and understand any expected out-of-pocket cost.
A corn that is cut out but not explained comes back, because the pressure that caused it has not gone anywhere.
Hospital stay and recovery depend on the procedure, your condition and your individual health. Some procedures may be completed as day-care treatment; others may require admission.
Before discharge, your care team will explain medicines, care at home and any follow-up appointments. Your surgeon can give you a recovery plan after assessing your condition and treatment.
