What Changes a Nail Excision Estimate

Partial, complete, or with matrixectomy
Removing the ingrown edge is the usual operation. Removing the whole nail, or chemically destroying the nail matrix so it cannot regrow, takes longer and costs more, and is what a nail that keeps coming back needs.

An actively infected nail may need a culture and a course of antibiotics alongside the procedure. More than one nail in the same sitting adds to the theatre time rather than repeating the whole charge.
